We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support a short-term Contract assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role focuses on entering building permit data into an accounting platform with a strong emphasis on precision and consistent data quality rather than speed alone. The assignment is expected to last approximately 2 days, with the potential to extend to 3 to 4 days based on productivity and business needs.

Responsibilities:
• Enter permit-related information into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Review source documents carefully before submission to help maintain complete and reliable records.
• Use 10-key and keyboard entry skills to process data efficiently within the designated platform.
• Organize and manage a volume of permit documents while keeping work prioritized and up to date.
• Verify entered information against supporting materials and correct discrepancies when identified.
• Support basic accounting record maintenance by ensuring permit data is properly captured for downstream processing.• Previous experience in data entry, accounting support, or clerical processing roles.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when working with repetitive administrative tasks.
• Proficiency with 10-key entry and general keyboarding skills, including typing speed in the 45-60 WPM range.
• Familiarity with accounting-related functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, or invoice handling is preferred.
• Ability to learn and navigate user-friendly software platforms with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with permit documentation or similar transactional records is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of tools such as QuickBooks or comparable accounting systems is preferred.
