Vice President of Field Operations

Top 10 ENR National General Contractor looking to identify a Vice President of Field Operations who will lead field execution across a major hyperscale data center program.
This is a national travel role with responsibility for overseeing the entire field operation, driving execution across large-scale mission-critical projects, and leading senior field leadership teams from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall field operations for hyperscale data center construction
- Manage and develop General Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, MEP leadership, and field teams
- Own field execution across safety, schedule, quality, logistics, manpower, and production
- Partner closely with project executives, operations leadership, preconstruction, and clients
- Drive accountability across subcontractors and trade partners
- Oversee complex MEP installation, commissioning, turnover, and phased delivery
- Establish field standards and best practices across multiple projects
- Support staffing, succession planning, and growth of the mission-critical division
- Serve as a senior field representative with hyperscale clients and executive leadership
Ideal Background:
- 20+ years of commercial construction experience
- Significant hyperscale data center / mission-critical construction experience required
- Proven experience leading large field teams and managing senior field leadership
- Strong understanding of hyperscale construction, MEP systems, commissioning, and turnover
- Experience delivering large-scale data center projects valued in the hundreds of millions or billions
- Background with a nationally recognized General Contractor
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally
