RN Supervisor Weekend Doubles Presbyterian Village North – Dallas, Texas, United States (Full‑Time) Position Overview Registered Nurse Supervisor for Weekend Doubles in our Skilled Nursing Department, responsible for the health care management of the campus, which includes independent and assisted living, the health unit and special care. Work schedule: Saturday & Sunday 6:45 am – 11:15 pm. Benefits Affordable medical, dental, and vision benefits; paid time off; 401(k) available after one year. Essential Duties Model a service‑oriented attitude; take ownership of problem solving and initiative. Manage campus healthcare, including independent and assisted living, health unit and special care. Make rounds in all buildings, ensuring appropriate staffing and resident care. Maintain safety for residents, patients, visitors, and co‑workers by reporting hazards. Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate departmental staff (management staff only). Assess high‑risk residents for pressure sores, restraints, weight changes, and other preventative care per resident plan of care. Assess residents and complete MDS per facility policy. Monitor residents for changes, ensure MD, family, and Director of Nursing are notified, and document appropriately. Make recommendations for significant changes in MDS or resident plan of care. Maintain the resident roster and acuity levels within the department (state board, QA monitors). Follow up on all consultant reports promptly. Complete evaluations of licensed nurses and assist CNA evaluations. Notify Director of Nursing and Director of Healthcare of abuse incident reports. Investigate complaints and concerns, reporting findings to Director of Nursing. Attend assigned committee meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing. Review incident reports and ensure follow‑up per facility policy. Verify clinical compliance and quality of care; provide coaching and disciplinary action per policy. Ensure all life enrichment programs and QA monitors are implemented. Perform charge nurse duties during staffing emergencies to meet resident needs. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated supervisory and managerial skills. Knowledge of current professional nursing theory and practice. Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills. Organizational skills, emergency response, and detail orientation. Ability to perform essential duties. Caring for mature adults, persons with disabilities, and hospice patients. Ability to meet physical demand requirements. Compliance with the Resident Bill of Rights and employee responsibilities. Adherence to organizational and departmental safety policies. Positive, stable disposition when interacting with staff and residents. High performance in a demanding, rapidly changing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clear thinking when acting as the highest‑ranking person at the facility. Articulate and able to work with different positions and staff levels.
