Job Title: ED RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred but will consider less with a strong skillset License: RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI required Must-Have: Previous charge experience, travel experience, community hospital experience required Description: Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for night shifts. This position will involve providing care to patients of all ages in a high-volume emergency room setting. The average daily census is 130, with a patient ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities include performing assessments, triaging patients, and managing acute medical emergencies. The nurse must be proficient in emergency medications and various procedures including intubation and cannulation. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as assigned. Travelers may be required to float within the specialty. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the electronic health record system, preferably Epic. All applicants should be prepared to demonstrate strong clinical skills during onboarding. The position offers an opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy and social services. This role may include caring for high-acuity patients, requiring adept critical thinking and decision-making skills.
