Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured, and joyful K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. We are on a mission to equip all students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. We develop empowered learners through agency, purpose, and tenacity. 

In August 2025, Independence Preparatory Academy opened its doors to 60 students in kindergarten through second grade. We will continue to grow until we reach a total capacity of 485 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We are actively building a team that shares our belief that with rigorous academics, high-quality instruction, and character development, all students can excel in high school, college, and life.

To achieve our vision, we seek a School Operations Associate who meets the following qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of college coursework or an Associate’s degree required
• 1–2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, office coordinator, receptionist, or similar role preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic office technology systems preferred

JOIN THE MISSION

As a School Operations Associate, you will serve as the face of Independence Preparatory Academy by maintaining the front office and creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient environment for scholars, families, staff, and visitors. This role will also provide administrative support to the Founder and Executive Director through calendar management, communication support, organization of documents and systems, and coordination of operational tasks.

The School Operations Associate plays a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations and supporting the effectiveness of school leadership. We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary range for this position is between $29,691 and $34,464. Salary is competitive and aligned to experience and internal equity.

DRIVE MEANINGFUL RESULTS

• Maintain the front office and serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, families, and phone inquiries
• Support daily school operations through organization, scheduling, and administrative coordination
• Provide direct administrative support to the Founder and Executive Director
• Manage calendars, appointments, meeting logistics, and document organization
• Support communication systems, including email correspondence, family communication, and internal coordination
• Assist with scholar records, registration processes, and operational documentation as assigned
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and records
• Help ensure the school environment is welcoming, organized, and aligned with iPrep’s mission and culture
• Support school events, meetings, and operational projects as needed
