Exciting Opportunity for Surgical Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: 06:30-17:00 with call rotation Wednesday to Friday 11 PM - 7 AM.
- Weekend Call: 1-2 rotating weekend call shifts.
- Unit Information:
- Location: Surgery
- Address: 12412 Judson Rd, Live Oak, TX 78233
- Floor: 1
- Current Staffing:
- 5 FT RNs including Manager and Boardrunner
- 2 PT RNs (one on FMLA)
- 3 PRN RNs
- 12 Surgical Techs
- Type of Staff:
- Morning: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Manager, 3 Day Shift RNs, 1 Day/Evening Nurse (two days a week), 1 Attendant, 12 Techs
- Evening: 1 Nurse On Call, 1 Evening Nurse until 7 PM (two nights a week)
- Patient Ratios: 1 to 1
- Type of Equipment: Basic OR equipment including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equip, and positioning equipment.
- EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile:
- Must Have Skills:
- OR Circulator Experience
- BLS/ACLS Certification
- Ability to fulfill rotating call (one night a week minimum, one weekend per 5-week schedule minimum)


- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, Cardiovascular, Neuro, or Thoracic procedures.

Best Personality Fit:
- Flexible, caring, compassionate, and a willing attitude.

Required Certifications:
- BLS and ACLS
