ER RN

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides specialized nursing care in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration within the interdisciplinary team. The ED RN ensures patient safety and effective care for emergency cases, requiring recent ER experience and strong clinical skills. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to emergency department patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and interventions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace violence prevention training and hospital policies.
• Participate in ongoing education and certification requirements.

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience within the past 5 years.
• Recent acute care hospital experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of organization-approved workplace violence training within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment.

• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or equivalent certification preferred.

• Must complete workplace violence training by the last day of the month following a 90-day grace period after hire.
• Work in a high-stress, fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Maintain all certifications and licensure current and compliant with hospital policies.

• Evening shift from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
• 36 hours per week.
• Shift assignments as per emergency department staffing requirements.
