Shepherd Controls is looking for a driven, sales professional to join our team in DallasFort Worth. What you'll do (responsibilities) includes:

• Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines we represent, as well as the industrial automation industry as a whole.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow your territory.
• Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking.
• Provide customers with live product demonstrations.
• Collaborate with our internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd's broad automation portfolio.
• Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real business outcomes.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Competitive, ambitious, self-motivated, and driven by results.
• Curious about how things work and comfortable learning technical products and applications.
• Confident meeting customers, asking thoughtful questions, and proposing solutions.
• Coachable and committed to continuously improving as a salesperson.

Experience we'd like to see includes any combination of the following:

• Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience.
• Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
• Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related fieldor equivalent experience.
