Part-time 28 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

Works with the district media specialist to provide library media services to the school
Purchases books, teacher resources, and digital resources in the media center to ensure patrons'needs and state instructional standards are being met
Performs media center day-to-day operations including but not limited to report gathering, inventory management, circulation. catalog maintenance, patron inquiries, and student supervision
Reads to students and provides lessons throughout the school year that demonstrate the use of the library management system, research, and proper use of library resources
Works cooperatively with classroom teachers to make resources related to units available (e.g., makes book displays/bulletin boards, pulls resources for classroom study)
Demonstrates willingness to attend professional development
Supports literacy initiatives and actively participates in activities that support reading
Engages elementary students in a positive manner
Organizes and take initiative
Assists faculty with the development and presentation of learning materials
Displays good communication skills
Maintains satisfactory attendance
Enjoys working with children of all ages, grades, and abilities
Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies and Employee Handbook
Models Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives
