Job Summary: This 8‑week assignment acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role includes delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and supporting the company’s nursing philosophy. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing. Work Experience Required: 1 year of experience as a registered nurse. Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications. Ability to demonstrate good judgment. Strong interpersonal skills. Job Duties Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care. Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improve the profession of nursing. Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and proper communication styles. Perform other related duties as assigned. Physical and Environmental Demands The position requires the ability to exert 50‑100 pounds of force occasionally, 25‑50 pounds frequently, and 10‑20 pounds constantly to move objects. The role involves exposure to blood, body fluid, tissue, communicable diseases, and hazardous medications or waste.
