Overview: The Staff Accountant will be tasked with preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger and performing other accounting duties as assigned for CBS Operations & Engineering and Multiplatform Distribution. This position will have the potential to cross over and see more across all divisions within Network.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering journal entries
• Prepare and record assets, liability, revenue, and expense journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Monthly entries pertaining to Union Contributions accrual, revenue accruals, expense accruals
• Intercompany transfers and production billing activity for various divisions
• Reconcile daily and weekly Production Billing activity to the GL
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare Quarterly deliverables
• Perform all month-end Intercompany confirmations
• PWC Requests
• Serve as a business partner across Controllership and FP&A teams

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience with general ledger functions and supporting month end/year end close process
• Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), standards, and practices
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables), Word, Outlook etc

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organization and analytical skills
• Accuracy and high attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team
