Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as an Automation Engineer and shape the manufacturing systems behind an automated machining cell. This is a hands-on role spanning tooling, workholding, equipment, quality, and process qualification.

What You'll Do

• Standardize tooling and tool-wear parameters.
• Design workholding and pallet strategies for unattended production.
• Select and integrate machine-monitoring sensors.
• Develop quality inspection approaches using probing, scanning, or automated metrology.
• Evaluate machines and equipment with vendors through acceptance testing.
• Prove out new parts and qualify processes.
• Work with software engineers to automate manufacturing workflows.

What We're Looking For

• 3 to 5 years of CNC machining or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of five-axis milling and CNC programming.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or another STEM field.
• Experience with automated machining cells, pallets, or linear systems.
• Familiarity with CAM, G-code, macros, and in-process probing.
• The client lists US citizenship or lawful permanent residency as an eligibility requirement for this role.

Bonus Points

• Titanium, Inconel, or other hard-alloy machining.
• Experience standardizing tooling, workholding, and equipment selection.
• Collegiate motorsports or Formula SAE experience.
