Our organization is currently in search of a skilled Full-time Intensivist to become a part of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line within the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at South Shore University Hospital.

Situated 30 miles east of New York City on Long Island's south shore, South Shore University Hospital serves as the easternmost tertiary care facility for our organization. This rapidly expanding 305-bed hospital has plans to grow to over 400 beds. The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery ICU comprises 10 beds, along with an additional 4 Stepdown beds. Annually, this service line conducts approximately 600 cardiac surgeries, including open procedures, transcatheter therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI patients.

Applicants must be fellowship-trained and Board Certified in either Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery. Acceptable primary board certifications may include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery. We also welcome candidates who are completing their sub-specialty training, provided they have relevant CTICU experience during their fellowship. The full-time clinical base salary at our organization ranges from $125K to $750K, influenced by various factors such as specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity.
