SUMMARY: We are seeking a Software Engineering Director to lead the development of our Internal Infrastructure Platform, a developer-first solution designed to streamline the management and deployment of public cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. This platform prioritizes transparency and control, enabling developers to interact directly with IaC configurations while maintaining consistency, security, and compliance. You will be leading the design and delivery of this platform, helping drive modern development practices and engineering exercises. As a leader, you will help foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, stay on current technology trends, and help guide the growth and development of team members. This includes mentoring and guiding the team to success, facilitating cross-team collaboration, partnering with leader and executives in other groups, etc. Your work on the platform with reduce time to market and will supercharge the growth of our business for the next decade in a complex and evolving global environment. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of recent IT Leadership experience (Director, Sr. Manager, or similar). Proven experience building and leading diverse teams of strong software engineers. 6+ years of hands-on experience engineering complex software systems, development of highly scalable, high performance full stack applications. Expertise in Microservices Architecture, Data-Centric application design, Event-Driven Systems, and cloud-native applications. Experience with cloud-native tools and technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Envoy, Istio, and Terraform. Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Lambda, Serverless, Platform Engineering, and Internal Developer Portals. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; advanced degree preferred. Adept at providing frequent, candid feedback, and a passion for developing and coaching technical talent. Compensation: $210,000 - $250,000 Salary Range Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
