Work Environment

This position operates onsite in clients' homes across the Tampa area, integrating into a personalized care approach. Physical Therapists will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that are adaptable to each client’s progress and changing needs.

Key Responsibilities

The Home Care Physical Therapist will perform various tasks critical to patient recovery and independence, including:

• Directing physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and promoting optimal functional performance for each client.
• Assessing each client's physical capabilities through diagnostic tests and functional evaluations, adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective delivery of care as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Conducting in-home evaluations to provide tailored recommendations for enhancing the rehabilitation environment.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents to maximize treatment efficacy.
• Documenting each client’s progress through clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Communicating effectively with clients and their families to educate them on rehabilitation techniques and self-care strategies.
• Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluating and recommending modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices as required by each client’s condition.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Kaiser Physical Therapy primarily serves a diverse patient population ranging from elderly clients requiring support for age-related ailments to individuals recovering from surgeries or injuries. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) and an active license in Florida.
• Current CPR certification and proof of valid driver’s license along with automobile insurance.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality care, and integrity within the healthcare setting.
• Ability to think critically and make sound clinical decisions to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist is required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Experience in home healthcare or hospice settings, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges associated with in-home therapy.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package that includes:
