Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours weekly

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in patient rehabilitation programs, ensuring direct patient care through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate relevant patient information effectively to other care providers.
• Provide training and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in line with hospital policies.
• Participate in team-building activities and contribute positively to unit dynamics.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and supply levels.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested, focusing on time management and staff planning.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education to enhance nursing skills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required for specific situations.
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
