What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic assessments, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in collaboration with physicians or independently (based on your credentials)
• Empowering patients and families through education on prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and overseeing chronic care management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
