Lumber Yard Associate - $14.00/Hour | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Lofton Staffing is seeking a Lumber Yard Associate for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Abita Springs, LA. This hands-on position offers consistent hours, outdoor work, and the opportunity for permanent employment with a respected local employer.

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Location: Abita Springs, LA

Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
Every Other Saturday: 7:00 AM-12:00 PM

What You'll Do
  • Build and prepare lumber loads for customer delivery and pickup
  • Load and unload freight with efficiency and care
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean lumber yard environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operations
What We're Looking For
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 90 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and team members
  • Dependable, responsible, and team-oriented
  • Contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements This is an active, physical role requiring the ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors year-round.
