Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position in a multi-specialty unit. Located on a campus that specializes in medical and surgical care, this unit primarily focuses on telemetry patients and provides a supportive environment for nursing skill development. The role involves working in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting with a focus on delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross certification; Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); 2 years of experience preferred, but 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license with at least 1 year in the field of specialty is acceptable; must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a medical-surgical and telemetry environment
• Additional Information: The position requires flexibility to float to other units and hospitals as needed. The nursing team is supported by a team leader who is out of staffing. The unit offers a supportive environment for developing healthcare skills and fostering a culture of teamwork and family-centered care.
