We are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Sous Chef to take the lead in our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have a true passion for food, excellent leadership abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.Delegate tasks and oversee food preparation during catering events.Maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture.Ensure kitchen staff follow company standards and food safety regulations.Execute and oversee all cooking techniques, including roasting, grilling, sautéing, braising, and sous vide.Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.Handle high-volume cooking while maintaining efficiency and speed.Ensure food is properly cooked, packed, and delivered for off-site catering events.Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.Minimize food waste and maintain cost efficiency.Enforce health and safety regulations in the kitchen.Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.Ensure proper handling of perishable and prepared foods.Support & help with menu developmentInvolve in hiring staff kitchenRequirements:Minimum 2 years of professional experience as sous chef in cateringAbility to lead and motivate a team in fast-paced environmentKnowledge cooking techniquesStrong knife skillsKnowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchenExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAttention to detailA team player with good communication skillsPatient with an ability to stay positive under pressureGood physical condition and endurancePunctual and possess a good attitudeMust be able to lift up to 40 poundFood Handler's CertificationCompensation Details:Compensation: Weekly ($1,750.00 - $1,900.00)Benefits & Perks: Paid Time Off, 401k, Potential BonusesRequired Skills:Ability to Work Under PressureAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong Communication SkillsStrong Leadership SkillsAttention to DetailEffective CommunicationTime ManagementTeam Motivation
