Senior Credit Officer, Structured Credits & Commercial Real Estate – Director, Corporate – New York, NY What You’ll Do Manage a portfolio of structured credit and commercial real‑estate transactions, including lending against private equity, illiquid shares, and unsecured loans. Review and approve transactions booked under the Wealth Management business in the U.S., supporting the growth of the lending book by managing risk on a portfolio of counterparties. Cover large, complex structured loans and regular margin lending and commercial real‑estate deals. Interface directly with front‑office staff on credit approvals, requirements, and relationship matters; liaise with clients where required. Work with the lending team (first line of defense) and relationship managers to manage risk and find optimal solutions, especially on challenging requests. Provide timely, transparent communication of decisions, risk analysis, and approval conditions to stakeholders. Robustly monitor the portfolio, identifying pockets of risk and staying aware of global, regional, and local market events that may impact the portfolio. Ensure portfolio quality remains satisfactory and that risk concentrations and limits do not exceed defined appetites or violate risk policies and regulations. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure audits progress smoothly and any issues raised are resolved promptly; support ad‑hoc projects at regional or global levels. Maintain disciplined processing so that trades are properly booked, recorded, and covenants and conditions are monitored; ensure accurate risk reporting. Skills You’ll Need Extensive relevant experience in corporate credit and structured finance at major international financial institutions. Proficiency in cash‑flow‑based assessment and equity valuation. Familiarity with legal documentation and credit‑mitigating features. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise reports. An open mindset that respects challenging views from different stakeholders. Compensation The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,000 to $308,000. Actual salaries may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.
