Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Construction Project Accountant for a top facilities management and construction services client. This candidate will play a critical role supporting a rapidly growing construction management organization by overseeing financial operations across a portfolio of capital projects. Unlike a traditional project accounting role focused solely on transactional processing, this opportunity offers the chance to drive process improvements, enhance financial visibility, support audit readiness, and partner directly with Project Managers and leadership teams. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, thrives in evolving environments, enjoys solving complex financial challenges, and can balance strategic process improvement initiatives with day-to-day project accounting responsibilities. Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of project accounting, construction accounting, or project financial management experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial controls, and project reporting
Advanced Excel skills:
XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
INDEX/MATCH
Pivot Tables
Data analysis and reconciliations
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills with Project Managers, Operations, and Finance leadership
Experience with financial reporting, project reconciliations, and account analysis
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Construction industry experience
SAP Project Systems experience
Experience supporting project closeouts
Retainage management experience
Experience with reimbursable revenue collections
Internal and/or external audit support experience
Process improvement or business transformation experience
Experience with project coding structures, cost centers, and project financial reporting
