Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative Louisville, KY Crescent Hill Animal Hospital is seeking an outgoing Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. At Crescent Hill, our front desk team is the heartbeat of the practice — the first voice clients hear and the last face they see, and we take that seriously. Prior veterinary experience is not required — we value people skills, emotional intelligence, and a genuine love for animals above all else. Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position , with a 4 x 10 schedule , Monday–Friday. No weekends and no on-call requirements. Minimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role required Previous veterinary or healthcare-related front desk experience is a plus — but not required; strong customer service backgrounds from high-volume retail, hospitality, or boarding environments are equally valued Proficiency in the following skills: Ability to manage a multi-line phone system while assisting in-person clients Experience with scheduling and coordinating appointments preferred Cornerstone PMS experience a bonus Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide compassionate, professional service during both routine interactions and emotionally sensitive situations Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records Positive attitude and genuine willingness to collaborate with a close-knit team Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during busy periods Maturity, emotional intelligence, and a kind, drama-free approach to teamwork Why choose Crescent Hill Animal Hospital? Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
