We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to support a contract assignment in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large employee population, ensuring accurate and timely processing across multiple states. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll leadership, deep knowledge of tax compliance, and hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and Excel in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complete payroll processing for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring each pay cycle is completed accurately and on schedule.

• Administer multi-state payroll activities while maintaining compliance with applicable wage, hour, and tax regulations.

• Review payroll data for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and partner with internal teams to address employee pay-related questions.

• Oversee payroll tax withholdings, filings, and reconciliations to support full regulatory compliance and minimize errors.

• Utilize ADP Workforce Now to maintain payroll records, process updates, and generate reports needed for audits and leadership review.

• Prepare and analyze payroll reports using Microsoft Excel to identify trends, validate calculations, and support decision-making.

• Monitor payroll controls and documentation to strengthen process accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.

• Support payroll-related process updates or system-related changes as needed within the scope of ongoing operations.

• Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll from input through final reconciliation.

• Background processing payroll across multiple states with strong knowledge of related compliance requirements.

• Experience handling payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers.

• Recent hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now in a payroll management setting.

• Solid understanding of payroll taxes, including deductions, filings, and reconciliations.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for payroll analysis, reporting, and data validation.

• High level of accuracy, organization, and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment.
