About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP Compliance to spearhead its insurance compliance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in compliance, with a focus on life, annuity, Medicare Supplement, and supplemental health products. This role involves advising executive leadership on regulatory risk, leading the compliance function, and ensuring that all aspects of the business, including products, operations, distribution, and third-party relationships, adhere to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in insurance regulatory expertise, be a strategic and business-minded leader, and possess excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Applicants for the VP Compliance position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' regulatory compliance experience in life, health, and/or annuity insurance, with a proven track record of leading a compliance function and managing compliance professionals. Strong knowledge of state insurance regulations, market conduct requirements, and experience with SERFF, product filings, regulatory examinations, and consumer complaints is essential. The role also requires experience in overseeing advertising, sales practices, and producer communications, as well as third-party oversight. The candidate should be adept at translating complex regulations into practical business solutions, have a Bachelor's degree (preferred), and relevant insurance or compliance designations are a plus. The VP Compliance will be expected to lead the development and management of the compliance team, establish and enhance the compliance framework, and ensure effective monitoring, testing, and remediation of compliance issues.
