Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) - Engineering
Location: Indianapolis, IN | Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN | Remote Candidates Welcome Pay: $40.00/hour (W2) No Corp-to-Corp (C2C). No Sponsorship Available. Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours Partner with Engineering Leaders. Drive Business Success. We're looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support a highly technical engineering organization. In this strategic role, you'll collaborate with engineering leadership to align talent strategies with business objectives while driving employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and leadership development. What You'll Do Strategic HR Partnership- Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders on organizational and workforce strategy.
- Partner with leaders to align people initiatives with business goals.
- Collaborate with HR teams across multiple engineering organizations.
- Support workforce planning through business forecasting and data-driven insights.
- Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential development initiatives.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit for critical engineering and technical positions.
- Support career development and leadership growth programs.
- Develop strategies to strengthen technical talent pipelines.
- Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce optimization, and change management.
- Support restructuring and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Partner with Engineering, Finance, and Resource Management teams to optimize staffing plans.
- Use workforce analytics to guide strategic decision-making.
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
- Analyze engagement survey results and partner with leaders to implement action plans.
- Support initiatives that improve retention and employee satisfaction.

- Partner with Total Rewards on compensation planning, equity reviews, and retention strategies.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Previous Human Resources experience supporting Cummins is required.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience supporting engineering, technical, R&D, or product development organizations.
