About the Position

Comfortable with the possibility of extended hours during emergency events. Knowledge of Epic charting system. Description: This position entails working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Registered Nurses are responsible for monitoring patient recovery post-surgery. They will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. RNs will administer medications and monitor vital signs. They will also assist with patient education regarding recovery. It is essential to have experience in end-tidal CO2 monitoring and airway assessment. Knowledge of managing ports, IV vasopressors, and emergency medications is required. Nurses should be familiar with various surgical procedures, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, cardiac surgeries, and spinal surgeries. Team collaboration is critical for high-quality patient care. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective patient interaction and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should be prepared for occasional floating if necessary to support patient care needs.
