Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL, responsible for supporting overall club operations and member experience. This role assists the General Manager with daily staffing, scheduling, and team leadership, ensuring that front desk, training, and support teams deliver high-quality service. The Assistant General Manager helps manage membership sales, retention initiatives, and local marketing efforts, while maintaining clean, safe facilities and adherence to company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching team members, resolving member concerns, monitoring performance metrics, and coordinating classes and events that reflect YouFit’s community-driven approach to fitness. Qualifications Experience in fitness, hospitality, or retail operations, with a focus on member or customer service and satisfaction. Skills in team leadership, staff coaching, scheduling, and performance management in a fast-paced environment. Ability to support sales efforts, including membership consultations, upselling services, and executing local marketing initiatives. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills for managing day-to-day club operations, safety, and facility standards. Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with members, teammates, and community partners. Comfort working with basic business and fitness software systems (point-of-sale, scheduling, CRM, and reporting tools). Prior supervisory or assistant management experience in a gym or similar service-oriented setting is preferred. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on club needs.
