Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a surgical or hospital setting
• Valid NY State Nurse Practitioner license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
• Proven ability to perform advanced wound care, suturing, hemostasis, and patient positioning
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, operating room protocols, and patient monitoring
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system and medication management

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with robotics-assisted surgeries
• Prior perioperative or surgical first assist experience
• Familiarity with complex orthopedic, OB/GYN, or general surgery cases
• Bilingual communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master s degree in Nursing or higher
• At least 2 years of recent, hands-on surgical or hospital-based practice
• Experience working with adult acutely ill patient populations

Other Requirements:

• Must be willing to work full-time coverage starting September, including rotating shifts, weekends, and call duties
• Ability to handle high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment
• Must adhere to strict dress code, safety, and infection control policies
• Availability to work shifts from 7 am to 5 pm, with potential for weekend and weeknight call
