The Staff Accountant plays a key role within a small accounting team, providing accurate financial data and managing various accounting functions. This position primarily utilizes QuickBooks to support financial reporting, payroll, and budget monitoring, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maintaining overall financial accuracy.

 

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decisions
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate ledger balances
• Process payroll efficiently and accurately
• Monitor budgets and track expenses to maintain financial control
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements
• Manage general ledger entries and month-end closings
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances
• Process invoices promptly to maintain vendor relationships

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting roles
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
• Strong time management skills for prioritizing tasks
• Analytical thinking to interpret financial data effectively
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration within the team
