Financial Reporting Supervisor

Financial Intelligence Unit LeadersThe Financial Intelligence Unit leaders lead a team of analysts responsible for managing the transaction monitoring processes within the core bank or Baas (Banking as a Service) function. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating risks related to money laundering, fraud and other financial crimes.Conduct regular one-on-ones to align cultural & business objectives, prioritize the most important work and coach to high performance.Facilitate execution through effective situational leadership tools.Support engagement and action by listening to team member feedback – what's working, what's not – support them in initiating and executing positive changes and provided them with adequate resources.Support in the team members professional and personal.Catch team members being approximately right through timely, individualized recognition.Promote collaboration and face to face interaction.Review financial transactions for suspicious activity, including patterns indicative of money laundering, fraud or other illicit behavior.Conduct FIU critical activities, which includes alert clearing, case investigation, SAR decisioning, CTR filling along with 314a and 314b responses.Conducting in-depth investigations into flagged transactions, identifying potential risks, and respond and collaborate with law enforcement or regulatory agencies when necessary.Assessing risk associated with specific customers, accounts or transactions and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate risks.Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, including filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed.Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential red flags.Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to identify potential risk and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Preparing reports and documentation related to suspicious activity, investigations and compliance efforts.Implement changes in policies and procedures as required by regulatory updates.Aid in documentation creation around process and procedures within the FIU space.Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks. Conducting quality control tasks, sampling data and providing feedback on process and work.Prepare regular reports and documentation for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.Continuously improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency.Identify opportunities for automation and technology enhancements.Conduct regular one-on-ones to align cultural & business objectives, prioritize the most important work and coach to high performance.Facilitate execution through effective situational leadership tools.Support engagement and action by listening to team member feedback – what's working, what's not – support them in initiating and executing positive changes and provided them with adequate resources.Support in the team members professional and personal.Catch team members being approximately right through timely, individualized recognition.Promote collaboration and face to face interaction.RequirementsMinimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience with requisite competenciesBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.Relevant certifications (ACAMS) are preferred, not required.Proficiency in transaction monitoring systems (i.e. Verafin, EY Cognitive Investigator)Experience with analytics tools (i.e. Monday.com, Quickbase)Strong understanding of BSA/AML regulations and best practices.Prior experience within a Sr. Analyst and/or Team Lead transaction monitoring, BSA/AML role.Travel Requirement This position requires travel to support business needs, including team collaboration, internal trainings, and cross-functional initiatives.
