Tax Staff

Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, including related income tax workpapers Prepare and respond to correspondence from taxing authorities Identify accounting and income tax issues and propose resolution strategies Perform tax technical research as needed Perform self-review of work Learn and effectively utilize firm tax software to enhance service quality and support knowledge sharing Work closely with the team and communicate job status with all levels of the engagement team Complete assigned projects within engagement timelines and budget guidelines Develop strong relationships with firm professionals at all levels Participate in firm trainings, recruiting events, and firm activities Work with a buddy and performance manager on technical and soft-skill development Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to completing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a master’s degree in accounting between December 2026 – June 2027 Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0 Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another accounting campus organization Strong technical aptitude Effective verbal and written communication skills Leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and receive feedback and coaching Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment High attention to detail Positive attitude and team-player mentality Client-centric approach and willingness to meet deadlines Resume and unofficial transcripts required HCVT is unable to sponsor the work authorization of candidates Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns, conducting tax technical research, and effectively utilizing tax software.
