Sales Account Manager

Sales Account Manager position available in the Plymouth, Michigan area working for an established manufacturing company. This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary range of $85k to $93K. The Sales Account Manager builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with the customer base and serves as the primary interface for programs and products while creating demand for the organization's products. Is responsible for sales plans and identifies, develops, and closes new sales opportunities. Manage and grow long-term relationships with assigned automotive OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 customers.

Responsibilities for the Sales Account Manager position: Serve as the primary customer contact and coordinate customer needs across internal and global teams. Develops, execute sales plans to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities. Prepare and negotiate customer quotes, contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements. Manage customer portal - quotes and tooling submissions. Identify opportunities to increase sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Analyze customer needs, market trends, and business performance to support strategic decisions. Resolve customer issues - drive continuous improvement in sales processes. Will attend customer meetings and events - travel domestically/internationally as needed.

Qualifications for the Sales Account Manager position: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. 5+ years of related experience with automotive OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 customers. Must have strong communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills. Excellent customer service skills - proficient in MS office and business/data management systems. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel. Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to function and work effectively in an international business environment.
