Technical Writer (Contract) Location: Beverly, MA Pay: Up to $34.00/hour We are seeking a Technical Writer to create and maintain technical documentation for advanced manufacturing and semiconductor equipment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled technical communicator who can transform complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. Key Responsibilities Develop, edit, and maintain operating manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting documentation, and product upgrade instructions. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to gather information and ensure content accuracy. Translate complex mechanical, process, and equipment-related information into easy-to-understand documentation. Create and update technical illustrations and visual work instructions using CAD visualization tools. Revise documentation to support engineering changes, product enhancements, and compliance requirements. Support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives by delivering high-quality documentation on schedule. Manage multiple documentation projects while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. Qualifications Experience creating technical documentation for manufacturing equipment, industrial machinery, semiconductor systems, or other complex technical products. Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems. Experience using CreoView or similar 3D CAD visualization software. Excellent technical writing, editing, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications Semiconductor manufacturing experience. Knowledge of document control processes, engineering change orders (ECOs), revision control, and technical documentation standards. Mechanical aptitude and experience working with technical subject matter experts.
