Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift contract requiring 2+ years of ER experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Room department of a hospital setting
• Full-time night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Some holiday commitment required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, 4+ years preferred
• New graduates not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• EKG test score of 80% or higher required prior to consideration
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the ER setting within the last year
• Copies of certifications and license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment
• On-site EKG competency test required on Day 1 of orientation, must pass to continue assignment
• Orientation includes Epic system training and floor orientation
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Hospital conducts a brief interview (10-15 minutes) as part of the hiring process
