In certain jurisdictions, CBIZ CPAs operates under its previous name, Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred2 years of experience in public accounting or related fieldCPA candidates preferredAbility to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessaryDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyProficient use of applicable technologyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsEssential Functions and Primary DutiesComplete all aspects of Employee Benefit Plan audit engagements for clients including status updates to engagement managers and adhere to all quality control standards as required.Demonstrate understanding of the client’s business including analysis and planning of client engagements.Cultivate strong working relationships with clients.Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities with senior associates, managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during the audit process.Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their goals and needs.Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested, explain variances when neededAchieve charge hour goalsReview associates’ auditing work: provide constructive review pointsSupervise associates on engagementsTrain and mentor associate staffMay be involved in the client billing process by assisting Managers or DirectorsDevelop specialty knowledge of applicable ERISA regulations and audit standards, attend industry training as assignedLeverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client engagementsParticipate in practice development activities such as: membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagementsExecute administrative duties as assignedAdditional responsibilities as assignedPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related fieldExperience supervising employee benefit plan auditsCPA candidatePosting Date: 2026-08-12
