Job Summary
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of adults with autism and/or intellectual disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, administering medication, behavior de-escalation and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.

 
Responsibilities 

• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• De-escalate behaviors
• Light documentation
• Transportation to appointments and community outings
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Light housekeeping activities
• Administer medication
• Provide companionship
• Assist with errands and shopping

Qualifications

• Driver's License Required
• Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
• First aid and CPR-certified Preferred
• ODP Medication Administration Training Preferred
• ODP/Relias/Related trainings or coursework Preferred
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
• Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
