Sanitation Manager
Location: Cerritos, CA
Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time
Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually
Employment Type: Salaried Management
Hours: M-F, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, the position is not strictly limited to those hours.Must be available to work Saturdays and off shifts.
-Mileage reimbursement is available.
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation operations in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of sanitation leadership experience and strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee sanitation operations and sanitation teams.
- Develop and maintain sanitation programs, SSOPs, and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure compliance with SQF, GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, and OSHA standards.
- Manage allergen control and environmental monitoring programs.
- Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, and safety procedures.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Train and coach sanitation employees on safety and food safety procedures.
- Monitor sanitation performance and maintain accurate documentation.
- Coordinate sanitation activities across multiple facilities or shifts as needed.
- Partner with Quality, Production, and Operations teams to maintain a safe and sanitary facility.
- 3–5 years of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing .
- Strong knowledge of SQF/GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, allergen control, and environmental monitoring.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and OSHA requirements.
- Previous experience managing multiple facilities or shifts preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel between locations as needed.
- Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts based on operational needs.
