Oar Staffing is conducting a search for an Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Engineer / Quality Launch Manager for a Automotive Manufacturing client in Southern Indiana. This is a DIRECT HIRE

MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE

Position Summary

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing supplier, is seeking an APQP Engineer / Quality Launch Manager responsible for managing and coordinating quality programs, new product launches, and advanced quality planning activities. This position will lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches, customer compliance, and adherence to IATF 16949 quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with APQP, PPAP, automotive quality systems, supplier quality, and new model launches within a manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive supplier quality, manufacturing quality systems, or APQP/PPAP roles .
Strong knowledge of:
- IATF 16949 quality standards
- APQP requirements
- PPAP submission processes
- PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Documentation
- SPC and Process Capability Studies
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Corrective Action Processes (CAR)
Experience supporting automotive new product launches.
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
