Medical BillingSpecialist – Boston, MA We are seeking candidates for a Medical Billing Specialist position with a highly regarded Boston hospital recognized for its exceptional patient care and medical research. This entry-level role offers an outstanding opportunity to launch a career in healthcare. The ideal candidate will bring some relevant experience along with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering $20–$21 per hour, depending on experience, for a 40-hour workweek. Fully remote candidates may also be considered (MUST be located in New England). Responsibilities Perform pre-registration for new patients by making and receiving calls to collect and document demographics, financial details, and other relevant personal information. Verify patient identification and ensure all data is accurate and complete. Update and maintain patient insurance and demographic information as needed. Manage referral and authorization information in accordance with departmental procedures. Communicate regularly with physicians and other healthcare providers to obtain clinical clarifications. Accurately document all daily activities in the hospital information system in a timely manner. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Health Science or a related healthcare field (preferred) 0–2 years of relevant experience in areas such as healthcare or business administration, health insurance, medical policy/chart review, nursing, or other allied health fields Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Epic strongly preferred #LI-LS1 #LI-REMOTE #J-18808-Ljbffr
