As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Operations in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional service to guests, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, exterior grounds, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with hotel staff, guests, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
