Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver License in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of mall common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report potential security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and supporting a welcoming environment while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
