The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods. This role involves maintaining records, verifying inventory, and working closely with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers.

• Prepare and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels
• Verify accuracy of orders, quantities, and shipping information before dispatch
• Package and label items securely for shipment
• Coordinate with carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, freight companies) for pickups and deliveries
• Track shipments and resolve shipping issues or delays
• Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments
• Communicate with internal teams (sales, warehouse, customer service) regarding order status
• Inspect outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies
• Assist with inventory management and stock organization as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, shipping software, ERP systems)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to lift and move packages (often up to 50 lbs)
• Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (training provided if needed)

• Warehouse or distribution center setting
• Exposure to varying temperatures and moderate noise levels

• Experience with barcode scanners or inventory systems
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation
