Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:

• 2+ years of ER experience (required)
• Active Michigan nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
• 2 supervisory reference forms, taken within the last two years

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments, intervene appropriately, and participate in care planning.
• Assess patients' needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care.
• Process physician/provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and facilitate changes to improve patient care.
• Actively participate in updating and revising treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide comfort, both physical and psychological, to patients and their families.
