Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CV) registered nurse position is located in San Diego, California. This role involves providing specialized care in a CVICU environment, requiring expertise in managing complex cardiac and critical care patients. The RN will work night shifts, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week, supporting various patient populations with a focus on cardiovascular care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 07/13/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California state nursing license; minimum of 2 years experience with A-lines and phlebotomy; proficiency in ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); experience with Pulmonary Artery Lines, Chest Tubes, Vents, Telemetry, and IV starts; previous charge nurse experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and unit requirements.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have active California licensure at the time of submission and provide two manager references. Vaccinations required include the COVID-19 vaccine with booster (medical or religious exemptions only) and the flu vaccine (medical exemptions only). Candidates should be willing to work in multiple locations, including Thornton, Jacobs, and Hillcrest, and must be comfortable floating between units as needed. Orientation modules will be completed during onboarding, totaling up to 8 hours, and are non-billable.
