Pay rate: $18.00-$24.50/hour

Essential functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Perform duties such as activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, assistance in nutrition and hydration, locomotion/ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming, bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper understanding of least restrictive device regulations, proper utilization of restraint devices, special care needs.
• Provide for residents with special needs related to their diagnosis (i.e. behavioral issues, splints, etc.)
• Report all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect, or abuse including injuries of unknown sources.
• Document resident care accurately and completely at point of care utilizing computerized medical record system.
• Note resident changes of condition and report same to LPN/RN.
• Answer call bells in a timely and polite manner.
• Assist in provision of post-mortem care.
• Perform vital signs as directed.
• Report on duty, listen to and/or obtain report from Charge Nurse, receive assignment.
• Make two-hour and prn rounds on all residents.
• Keep unit neat and clean; straighten nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned.
• Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed, and ready to participate in activities of choice.
• Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary.
• Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) main duties and critical tasks:

• Care for multiple residents in the facility. Observe resident rights.
• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
• Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents.
• Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required education and experience:
• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice and employment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
