Career Opportunities: Intern, Graphic Design (6770) The San Francisco 49ers offer full-time, paid internships for individuals interested in gaining hands‑on experience in professional sports while exploring careers within the National Football League. Our program is designed to allow participants to contribute directly to the organization’s success while applying the knowledge learned in the classroom. Interns are embedded within a specific department while also having opportunities to explore the broader organization through group networking events, training sessions, and one‑on‑one meetings with leaders across the club. Each intern is supported by a mentor and team and contributes to a project that builds skills and professional confidence. General Internship details and expectations Our interns are paid $19.00 an hour and are expected to work 30‑40 or more hours per week during the internship period. Interns are expected to commit to the full term of the internship and be mostly onsite (no remote internships are available) which runs from mid‑July through the end February. Interns are expected to work flexible hours that include nights, holidays, and weekends. Monday, January 5, 2026 - Applications close Monday, July 6, 2026 - First day of the internship program Friday, February 26, 2027 - Last day of the internship program Position Overview The graphic design intern will support the internal design team and produce art/designs from start to finish. Using design expertise and a willingness to learn, the graphic design intern will execute creative requests according to the scope of the projects. Effectively communicate with members of the design team, as well as employees from other departments on creative ideas and executions. Provide creative input on branding and offer new ideas. Responsibilities and Duties Designs and edits marketing collateral and digital content using Adobe software. Supports the creative needs of other internal departments. Supports digital/social team by creating designed content and editing game photography. Collaborates with all other creatives to provide and magnify unique ideas. Other duties as assigned. Abilities & Skills Ability to create a relationship of trust and loyalty by delivering accessible, efficient, and reliable services and products for internal stakeholders. Creative, innovative and efficient; the ability to see alternatives and solutions. Ability to achieve planned objectives through completing relevant tasks and focus. Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks. Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise and impartial manner. Education and Experience Relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Art or Design preferred. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Adobe InDesign & Adobe After Effects. Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word.
