Asset Management Research Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We look for hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages; Java fluency is required.
• We value practical front-end experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• We require working experience with Kafka and event-driven patterns.
• We look for hands-on use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to evaluate and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• We seek overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• We value a solid grasp of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We look for hands-on exposure to AWS cloud services and ecosystems.
• Preferred: experience in UX/UI design, building modern user-centered interfaces, and following UI standards and accessibility principles.

• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
• We produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are reflected in software development.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement of applications and systems.
• We proactively identify hidden issues and patterns in data and use those insights to strengthen coding hygiene and system architecture.
