(USA) Meat Lead

Position Summary As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver more of what our members love, for less. You will model expertise in meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations. Key Responsibilities Be a Team Leader – supervise the team within the meat department, communicate goals, execute company programs, advocate for the member, associate, and company, and collaborate with other team leaders to meet member expectations. Be an Expert – maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product updates and specifications, ensure regulatory and company standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment, safety, sanitation and compliance, and provide training on item specifications and equipment usage. Be a Techie – leverage digital tools to plan and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; use handheld technology for production, training, and product quality decisions and promote tool adoption. Be an Owner – drive business results with operational excellence, keep the work area neat, clean and safe, forecast and plan inventory, facilitate ordering, ensure staffing and audit compliance, and maintain equipment and storage systems. Be a Talent Ambassador – teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop skills, encourage career growth, source new talent, and implement processes that meet business needs. Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, assisting management with compliance issues. Lead and participate in teams, share resources, determine customer needs, coordinate assignments, provide feedback, and model adaptability to change. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Accept and complete all required training and assessments within the prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Experience in meat processing, including boneless and bone‑in products. Certification as a Food Handler (Food Safety).
