JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a research assistant under the direction of Dr. Zoubeida Ounaies.

Job Duties:

• Monitor and maintain a calendar of tasks for deadlines and programming milestones for several projects simultaneously
• Center communications, including website updates, social media, maintenance of contact lists, and correspondence
• Maintaining regular contact with our research partners abroad and nationally, setting up meetings and webinars, maintaining documents, and creating and implementing project timelines
• Collect and analyze data
• Contribute to manuscripts
• Assist with conducting research experiments

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience with working in an experimental lab; presenting and analyzing research results
• Problem-solve with critical thinking and in a self-starting manner, proactively addressing gaps in provided instructions
